Secequip/GDE Project Pilot takes off

The Gauteng Department of Education and SECEQUIP has launched a pilot project in two schools in Gauteng to train and accredit technical high school learners.

The project is headed up by Alfie Schlebusch of Secequip under the guidance of John Rogers,

On the department side is myself, Mqabuko Ncqube of Malvern High School and Dolph Willemse of Primrose High School.

The pictures below shows learners engaging in practical skills training.

ESKOM EELDC KICKS OFF

The Eskom EELDC kicked off this week in Gauteng schools. Participation looks good so far.

ERB Highsite

We   completed the groundwork on the highsite upgrade  today.
Here are some pics to show the progress.

We also mowed the lawn and sprayed weed killer under the electric fence.

Electronics Club Launch 2014

The Gauteng Department of Education and Sci Bono Discovery Centre launched the 3rd year of Electronics Club.

Kids around Gauteng learn how to construct electronic circuits. They also learn how to use electronic equipment and tools.

HAMNET Gauteng South Storage Facility under Construction

Good News....

The construction of the HAMNET Gauteng Storage facility is underway. The storage will be situated on the small holding of OM Chris ZS6COG (Moi... Me... Ekke)

Shown below are some pictures of worker Lucas  (right hand man and trusty worker of note) busy treating wooden poles which will be used for the construction.

The space occupied by the store will be 9 meters x 8 meters. Roof height will be 2.6 metres at the back and 3,7 meters at the front.This will allow easy storage of the HAMNET Gauteng South Trailer. Also included under the roof will be the storage bin. A postform top and shelves will be included after re finishing and paining is done.  More pictures in the weeks to come. Stay posted.. HiHi.
